Since joining Axiom Forensics in 2009 Hugh has applied his statistical and quantitative qualifications and experience in various areas relating to data analytics and financial modelling for clients in a range of industries including pharmaceuticals, media and the financial sector. Hugh has helped the firm develop advanced risk modelling and reporting, applying statistical and probabilistic analysis involving simulation and statistical inferential techniques.
Prior to joining Axiom Forensics Hugh built up over twenty years of experience in data analytics, working in banks and financial markets. His expertise covers areas such as data warehouse and financial market database administration, design, interrogation and migration, reporting systems use, design and implementation. Hugh consulted to Westpac Bank Treasury on product database analytics and reporting, and spent five years at St George Bank as a manager of management accounting and data projects (including involvement in the design and delivery of branch MIS reporting systems).
Hugh also has significant experience as a quantitative analyst, including design and implementation of ‘technical’ trading and econometric pricing models. Hugh has further experience as an advisor and consultant in financial markets and financial derivatives.
